This is in support of your article Your Body Creates and Eats Light, by Sina McCullough, that ran in the April 2-8, edition. The article discusses photons in our bodies. I am a photon freak, so here's the theory.
A photon is a magnetic field. It measures zero in each of the three dimensions of space. It has no mass. Since it is traveling at the speed of light, it experiences no time. Despite its name, a photon is not a little lightbulb.
Photons are always flying around us, within us, and through the air, such as radio waves. We only perceived photos when they fly into our eye at a frequency of 400 trillion to 800 trillion per second. This is the visible light spectrum. If we could detect other photon and magnetic fields, we would be vastly overwhelmed.
Everything in existence is entirely made of photons. Every element in the periodic table is made of protons, neutrons, and electrons, which are each entirely made of photons. Since photons are magnetic fields, they have a positive charge and a negative charge. There were only three choices of charged particles possible: positive, negative or neutral. Thus, the proton, electron and neutron
Protons, neutrons, and electrons (that make up atoms) are made up of photons with a magnetic flux. Some photons are weekly held, and easily tossed off with an when an atom vibrates (heat). Some are held tightly and can only be released when the subatomic particle reaches the speed of light. Lightning and nuclear power are two examples of particle explosions when they reach the speed of light.
Only when an atom forms is matter created, space is displaced, and time is started.
Because photons experience no time, they are the only thing that can travel at the speed of light. Electricity is the flow of photons through metal, electrons drift backwards at less than the speed of light.
Scientists, often quest for the god-particle. As they peer through their high-powered microscopes, they can't find it. However, they can't see the forest through the trees. The light traveling through their lens is the God particle, the photon.
It is easy to deduce that this photon system is being used by God to create Space-time continuum we inhabit and to build all forms of matter. Since magnetic fields and various forms are the only things that exist, it's evident that God exists within these parameters. God and photons coexist outside the constraints of time. With no God, photons would spin out and disappear. Without photons, God would have nothing to control. Without either, we would be back to nothing.
Eternal life – this means our souls will experience no time when we pass outside the physical time/space continuum. … all roads lead back to the creator.
Back to the article: photons are used to send all instructions at the speed of light from the brain to every cell in the body. All thoughts are brain waves, which are also the flow of photons. As far as the body eating photons, all energy transfer is via photon exchange. In the body, you eat food that has charged up carbon atoms. A cell sucks the loose photons off the carbon electrons. Not just one photon, more like a quadrillion. A couple of oxygens grab the depleted carbon and leave through your lungs as carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide wanders through the air and finds a plant growing. It sticks there while the depleted electrons gather fresh photons from the sun. But how does that little electron get hit by a quadrillion photons, it would take 1000 years?
The fat and happy carbon stays with the plant and the oxygen goes back about its business, repeating the cycle.
For cancer treatment, flooding the zone with photons is often used via radiation therapy.
