The Role of Water in Physical and Mental Health

As an advocate for maintaining balance between our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies, I have come to understand the importance of ensuring that our bodies receive enough pure and clean water.

Looking back…. as a child and adolescent I was not aware that water was an option as a drink!  I, as well as my siblings were raised on tea, hot and cold, and occasionally soda.  Mom, being from England, introduced us to tea, and it became a part of our culture.  Little did I realize until much later in life the outcomes of being “dehydrated”.

An article written by Peter Ragnar (a natural life scientist, Taoist, and Self-Master, and Author) had gotten my attention.

This article was titled: "Your’re Not Demented, Just Dehydrated"

Adjusted Reality

Imagination is more important than knowledge.  Knowledge is limited.  Imagination encircles the world.   –– Albert Einstein

The introduction to the book Adjusted Reality by Dr. Sherry McAllister, a Doctor of Chiropractic, uses this quote by Albert Einstein to introduce the concepts of her book, which explores an adjusted reality made of elements that shape a unique and immersive adventure.

Says Dr. McAllister, “a remarkable journey awaits that unravels the tapestry of the past, weaves together the threads of imagination, and embarks on an odyssey to reshape the future. Picture a world where misconceptions crumble, trust is restored, and the key to robust health lies not in a pill bottle but in the embrace of a philosophy yet to be fully explored.”

Take Einstein’s quote for example.  The imagination of a child playing is unbounded by limitation.  Their imagination takes them to places yet undiscovered. “But imagination can also inspire fear of the unknown,” McAllister points out.  For many this fear developed as the lights went out at bed time.  Imagination for many worked overtime  envisioning monsters in all of the places that were thought to be safe and secure.  Many Americans are “faced with similar unknowns, ….  With no brighter, reasonable alternative, many revert to that chilling childhood place” of fear.

Explanation of Cosmic Energetics

By Dr Schavi M Ali | Source

The planet Earth — which was called “Geb” in ancient Kemet in the Medu Neter Language and which is known as “Prthivi” (“Vast One”) and also as “Bhumi” (“Land” or “Ground”) in the Vedic language of Sanskrit and as “Ard” in Arabic (“Ground”) and as “Gaia” (“Earth Goddess”) in Greek and as “Terra” (“Land”) in Latin — moves on a certain axis just as all planets do.  Since ancient times, it was taught that it turns at approximately “7.83” cycles per second [1] and that with the turning there is a slight wobble.   The wobbling is due to the inner core of Earth vibrating at a particular “frequency”, and there are times when this frequency reaches down to great depths within the tectonic plates and magnetite particles and other substances of the planet this depth is the “amplitude”.

What the Heck is a Punctilio?

Rules and Principles, or if you prefer Standards and Ethics, are the guides of our actions.  A punctilio is:  A little point of conduct highlighting etiquette, or procedure. We are using this term to illustrate the standards and ethics that have been shared with humanity over the generations.

We have recently learned of the 11:11 laws.  These are 22 spiritual and Universal laws.  As we learned of these laws, it seemed to me that the 11:11 laws have MUCH in common with our developing Punctilios.  In this presentation I combine them into one outline for our consideration. [Brackets and small type] indicate the source of the concept.

Consider the Rose…

Symbolism of the Rose

Consider the rose as symbolization of a world  "beyond the physical".  The wild rose has five petals, closely joined together. It also has five sepals the green leafy “petals” that protect the developing flower until it blossoms.  As a completed and perfect flower the rose contains both male and female reproductive organs inside the flower alongside its colorful petals.

From the time the human first began to formulate symbols as representations of nobler thoughts and ideals, the rose has captured the imagination. Its beautiful flowers has for generations been an emblem of grace, simplicity, beauty and happiness.  The bold red color of the red rose evokes intense emotions, sensuality, and a strong physical attraction.  The white rose, however, carries a different connotation.

The Mighty and the Motherly

Happy Mother’s Day!

The mother archetype aims to protect and care for the object of their affection, whether that be another person, a group of people, a place, an inanimate object, or an idea. As a mother is, at their most basic, a giver of life. They want to protect that life with unconditional love and to see it grow.

A mother's personality traits play a role in the well-being of the nurtured. A mother is the one providing emotional and physical support so dependents feel secure and loved. Nurturing motherly qualities include offering comfort and soothing when dependents are upset, celebrating their achievements, and being present as an active part of their lives.

Maybe I Missed the Point

Maybe I Missed the Point

I know somebody whose life is tough.
I help a little but it isn't enough'
Cause I go spend money on stupid stuff
When I know he's strugglin' to stay above.

And I have so many chances to be
The hero I believe's inside of me,
But I get busy and I get distracted
And I do nothing when I could've acted.

An Understanding of (Who - Why - What) We Are

As I allow curiosity to guide me, I seem to be led to just what I need to assist me in understanding and discovering more of my inner self and Who/Why/What I Am.  This curiosity seems to create synchronistic events that provide the illumination and insights to satisfy it.  These events may be as simple as finding the answer in a book or through personal contact with another.  They can also be quite out of the ordinary such as; receiving a personal message through an entertainer within a stage performance.

As I move deeper into my discoveries, the connection to the seen and unseen worlds grows stronger.  One might view these worlds as the cosmos and earth, light and dark, inner and outer, or perhaps extraterrestrial and human.  The thread that seems to bond all of these together… is Unconditional Love.  I feel my heart opening more each day as I choose to see and experience the Love that surrounds me.  I feel Love as Life force energy, and know Love as a Natural state of Being.  I believe we are all remembering this natural state of Love in our own space and time.

What follows is my personal understanding of our human experience and journey.

'Old Age' Doesn't Kill Us...

Scientists reveal

true causes of death.

Story by Cassidy Morrison Senior Health Reporter for Dailymail.Com

Scientists have determined that nobody, not even a centenarian, dies of old age.

The traditional view is that ‘old age’ is a cause of death; that as a person gets older, their systems gradually decline and they die.

But new research from the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases posits that old age isn't actually a true cause of death; it is just a time on a biological clock when specific diseases overwhelm the system and a person dies.

Living in Your Young Age

What if the most overlooked factor of your health wasn't your nutrition or your exercise, but what you believe and have faith in?

Spirituality is a broad, personal search for meaning, purpose, and connection to something larger (greater) than oneself, such as the Universe, Nature, or a Higher Power.  It focuses on inner experience and interconnection rather than rigid rules.

The SOW article The Cost of Neglecting Your Spirituality reports a number of scientific studies relating to spirituality and physical health.  These studies find spirituality to be associated with benefits such as better mental health, longevity, reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, and brain disorders such as Alzheimer's disease.

By neglecting spirituality some of the benefits missed include decreased risk of coronary heart disease and a 20 percent reduced risk of death.  Our general culture of “neglected spirituality” has led many to find it hard to conceive that there is a connection between spirituality and physical health but there is.

For example, spiritual practices such as meditation can lead to significant structural differences in brain tissue.  In one study those who meditate demonstrated significantly thicker cortex in the anterior regions of the brain, which is important for cognitive and emotional processing.

Mahatma Energy ~ Avatar of Synthesis ~ I AM Presence

In the vast spectrum of healing frequencies available to us, Mahatma Energy holds a particularly sacred place.  Often called the “Avatar of Synthesis” or the “I AM Presence,” this golden-white light represents one of the highest vibrational frequencies accessible to humanity during our current evolutionary journey.

What Is Mahatma Energy?

Mahatma Energy is a unified field of consciousness that bridges the earthly and divine realms.  The word “Mahatma” itself means “Great Soul” in Sanskrit, and this energy embodies exactly that—a profound synthesis of all 352 levels of Divine consciousness, from Source to Earth.

A Ghost Story (?)

On prom day in 2017 a 911 call from a high school in the city of Gilbert, was answered and a woman whispered, “I scare.” Then a burst of static—and the sound of the phone hitting the floor.

By the time officers arrived at the high school, the phone receiver hung loose at the front desk, swaying on its cord.

Rich, one of the responding officers, said there was no sign on any of the security cameras that anyone had made the call. No prankster. No unidentified woman. Yet officers responding to the 911 call reported something pushing between them as they entered the school nurse’s office.

Rich interviewed the nurse three times. By the third, she could no longer hold back, and visibly upset, she slammed her hand on the desk. “Fine, I’ll tell you,” she said. Then she revealed something even Rich found hard to believe: her entire life had been haunted. Footsteps. Doors opening and closing on their own. Strange occurrences followed her wherever she moved.

“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Rich asked. She looked at him, weary. “Three weeks ago, everything at the house stopped. It was peaceful. And then last night … it started again.” Rich, who had been assigned to investigate the incident as a 911 infraction, sent the video footage to a forensic expert. It wasn’t just distorted. It wasn’t masked or artificially generated. The voice on the recording wasn’t human.  “We ran down every possible lead or idea that we could come up with. I was stuck. I couldn’t find an answer.”

This 911 incident remains unexplained to this day.  The effects triggered by this event also continue in the present.

Rusty Radio Receivers

Many wander through life believing that they are "stuck having to listen to the one show in which they find themselves." Often you will hear people say something like "that's just the way the world is" as if there was only ONE signal begin broadcasted, only one show to receive.

We often go through life watching it as if it were a TV program over which we have no control. While we may not be able to interact and change the programming presented to us via our video mediums, life is an interactive experience. You are not the consumer of the show, YOU are the PRODUCER of the show. You have creative input to how the show turns out. We are the creators of the show, not the victims of it.

YOUR GREATEST POWER – Choosing Happiness

This short book by J. Martin Kohe was first published in the 1950s. Kohe argues that the ability to make conscious choices shapes every aspect of our lives. Kohe was an American author and psychologist born in 1908. This short series of excerpts highlights the concepts shared in this book.  The reader is encouraged to purchase the book for the in depth explanations that it offers.

The Fifth Chapter – Choosing Happiness

Happiness is a pleasant and contented mental state.

"So many people have a little happiness and then try to hang on to it. Some people as soon as they find themselves a little happy, wonder what is wrong and especially begin to wonder if it will last. ... Is it any wonder that there is so little happiness? Those who have it are so afraid that they cannot hold on to it, that they lose it almost as fast at they find it."

"If you use your power to choose that nothing is too good to last, it is surprising, but true, that things will run along smoothly and beautifully for you, even beyond your fondest dreams. Here is the secret of keeping things running smoothly. But you must constantly remind yourself that when everything is going without trouble that that is the way it is supposed to be. The stars don't bump into the moon; the moon does not crash into the sun; the sun does not crash into the earth. Certainly, if the stars and the moon and the earth...don't conflict with one another, why can't our lives run along smoothly without the conflicting forces that so many people encounter. ... As one man said, 'our heaven on earth is right here, but the trouble with most of us is that we don't take advantage of it.'"

YOUR GREATEST POWER – Choosing your Personality

This short book by J. Martin Kohe was first published in the 1950s. Kohe argues that the ability to make conscious choices shapes every aspect of our lives. Kohe was an American author and psychologist born in 1908. This short series of excerpts highlights the concepts shared in this book.  The reader is encouraged to purchase the book for the in depth explanations that it offers.

The Fourth Chapter – Choosing Your Personality

In our current era it seems that there are no shortage of personality clashes. People seem to be going out of their way to crash into one another.

"One of the greatest problems in life is the problem of personality. Personalities seem to be clashing constantly. Many of our troubles and difficulties come about because people cannot get along with one another...even wars are engaged in because of different nations failing to see eye to eye."

Since the 1950s, and before, humanity often chooses to respond to its differences with conflict, violent or otherwise.  But Kohe points out that even this is within our power to choose.

A Concise Summary of Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025-2030

The message is simple.  Eat real, whole foods and not food or drink primarily made from food extracts, i.e. part of whole food such as refined sugars, grains starches or oils; or synthetic industrially manufactured chemical additives.

Consume real food that nourishes the body; real food that restores health; real food that fuels energy and encourages movement and exercise.  Real food that builds strength.  Don't just "fill your bellies" with chemicals, fillers, or concentrated parts of food.  Eat the whole food that the parts come from.  America's future depends on what we grow, what we serve and what we choose to eat.

This final article in this series is a concise summary of the full Dietary Guidelines.  We hope it will serve as a handy reference for you.  Remember you may read the full Guidelines at: https://realfood.gov/#resources

Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025–2030 (Conclusion)

The new version of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025-2030 offers a significant change from previous versions.  The core of the new guidelines is to go back to "real food", not "processed and packaged" food.  It encourages a commonsense focus on healthy eating rather than a set of "limits" or "maximums."  In this short series of articles, each week will will look at an overview of one of the recommendations.  This is an introduction to these guidelines, you will find the full version of the guidelines online at: https://realfood.gov/#resources.  These articles are sourced from an Epoch Times article: The Science Behind the New Dietary Guidelines.

Conclusions

Many wonder what these Dietary Guidelines are good for. I like to think of dietary guidelines and nutrition as "fertilizer" and "feed".  In cattle country many are knowledgeable about the nutritional needs of their livestock.  In the agriculture field many are knowledgeable about what minerals, nutrients, and other additives are necessary to make a healthy crop grow.

What's the Big Deal about Equinoxes and Solstices?

DSU will be hosing a Spring Equinox even in the near future, but what is the big deal about the Equinoxes and Solstices, and why are they a source of celebration?

Here is one perspective:  Genesis 1:14 notes Then God said, 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years...

So, from the earliest chapters in the Bible we learn at the least  the lights in the sky are used for telling day from night, for signs and seasons tracking, and for time keeping.  But other than temporal record keeping what makes equinoxes and solstices noteworthy?

YOUR GREATEST POWER – Choosing Conditions

This short book by J. Martin Kohe was first published in the 1950s. Kohe argues that the ability to make conscious choices shapes every aspect of our lives. Kohe was an American author and psychologist born in 1908. This short series of excerpts highlights the concepts shared in this book.  The reader is encouraged to purchase the book for the in depth explanations that it offers.

The Third Chapter – Choosing Conditions

It is quite common to hear something like "but I can't help it. The conditions prevented me from achieving my desires." Kohe makes note of this:

"Anyone with a little common sense knows that you cannot [always] control conditions....what can we do? We can control our thoughts, and by controlling our thoughts, by using this greatest power, the power to choose, we are indirectly able to control conditions."

"We all know that there are good times and bad times. Some people can't even make a living in good times, let alone in bad times, mainly because they have failed to use this greatest power, the power to choose. When bad times come along, most people sit back, fill themselves its discouragement and wait for the government to do something about it. Others will use this greatest power, the power to choose, and will make a success even in bad times."

Kohe notes that if we could get beyond the excuse making the results would be much different:

"If there were only some way that people could be made to realize that this greatest power, the power to choose and choose correctly, exists within our own minds, that they could carry out the plans of their own choice and really live the way they may have dreamed of living. It is easy enough to blame conditions; it is easy enough to blame relatives; it is easy enough to blame the government; it is easy enough to blame anybody and everybody and everything, if one chooses to do so."

"But any person who truely recognizes this greatest power, the power to choose, begins to make progress....he begins to realize that he is the one that is doing the choosing and that friends, although they mean well, cannot do his choosing for him, nor can his relatives.

"Consequently, he develops real self-confidence based upon his own initiative. No longer does he depend upon conditions. No longer does he depend upon some figure of imagination, but instead, he depends upon himself; the results begin to tell right from the beginning of his realization. This realization seems so difficult because hundreds of thought are racing through our minds at such speed that we fail to recognize this simple yet amazing power to choose.

Are you realizing your greatest power, the power to choose?

Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025–2030 (Seed Oils Not an Only Option)

Seed Oils Not the Only Option for Cooking Oil

The new guidelines recommend oils and fats such as olive oil, butter, or beef tallow.  It does not include vegetable oils such as soybean oil and corn oil as options unlike past recommendations.

Authors of the scientific reasoning report wrote that to recommend eating seed oils such as soybean, corn, canola, and cottonseed oil is based on flawed science.  They wrote that seed oils have more polyunsaturated fats which are more prone to oxidation when heated.  This can be harmful to people with metabolic disease.  Not to mention that seed oils undergo an extensive processing to make them shelf stable and neutral in flavor.
